Senate Bill 42 does not affect Tier 1 SERS members or retirees.

SB 42 does not change any of the benefits of Tier 1 SERS members and retirees. SB 42 creates an optional Tier 3 hybrid plan for future SERS members who are not covered by Social Security, and also allows Tier 2 members who are not covered by Social Security to choose the Tier 3 hybrid plan.

SERS is getting a new look We are rolling out a new brand, creating a consistent look and feel to our materials. As we modernize our operations, we have decided to update the headers as well. We are implementing the changes, including our new logo in stages. We aim to have all materials rebranded with our new logo by the end of 2018.
